These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, Canada. By using our services, you irrevocably consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

Your Best Years Ahead provides retirement lifestyle coaching services focused on helping individuals design and transition into fulfilling retirement. Our services include:

  • One-on-one coaching sessions

  • Assessments and planning tools
  • Content, resources, and community support

3. Professional Disclaimers

3.1 Not Financial Advice

WE ARE NOT FINANCIAL ADVISORS, FINANCIAL PLANNERS, OR INVESTMENT PROFESSIONALS. Our coaching services do not include, and should not be construed as, financial planning, investment advice, tax advice, estate planning, or any form of financial or securities advice.

We do not recommend specific investments, insurance products, or financial strategies. Any discussions about financial topics during coaching are for general informational and educational purposes only. 3.2 Not Medical or Health Advice

Our retirement coaching focuses on lifestyle planning and personal development in the following areas:

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Your Best Years Ahead, its owner, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use of or inability to use our services
  • Any decisions or actions taken based on our coaching, advice, or materials
  • Any financial losses or decisions
  • Any health or medical issues
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
  • Any other matter relating to our services

In no event shall our total liability to you for all damages, losses, and causes of action exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for accessing our services during the six months prior to the claim.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Your Best Years Ahead, its owner, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from: (a) your use of our services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any rights of another party; or (d) any decisions or actions you take based on information or coaching provided by us.

9. Client Responsibilities

By engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are responsible for your own decisions and actions
  • You will seek appropriate professional advice (financial, legal, medical, etc.) as needed
  • You will not rely solely on our coaching for major life decisions
  • You understand that coaching is a collaborative process requiring your active participation
  • You will provide accurate information and communicate openly during coaching sessions

10. Confidentiality

We maintain the confidentiality of information shared during coaching sessions, subject to the following exceptions:

  • Where disclosure is required by law or court order
  • Where there is a reasonable belief of imminent harm to you or others
  • Where you provide explicit written consent for disclosure

Please note that coaching is not protected by the same legal confidentiality privileges as therapy or legal counsel.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate the coaching relationship at any time. We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate our relationship with any client for any reason, including but not limited to: non-payment, abusive behavior, breach of these Terms, or if we determine the coaching relationship is no longer beneficial or appropriate.

12. Payment Terms

Payment is required according to the agreed-upon schedule and pricing for your selected program or service. Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing or required by law. We reserve the right to modify our pricing at any time, though changes will not affect existing paid commitments.

Failure to pay on time may result in suspension or termination of services.

13. Intellectual Property

All content, materials, courses, assessments, frameworks (including the “6 Pillars of Fulfilling Retirement”), trademarks, logos, and other intellectual property provided through our services remain the exclusive property of Your Best Years Ahead. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

14. Third-Party Links and Services

Our website and materials may contain links to third-party websites, services, or resources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, practices, or policies of any third-party sites. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms and conditions.

15. Testimonials and Case Studies

Testimonials and case studies on our website represent individual experiences and do not guarantee specific results. Results may vary based on individual circumstances, effort, and other factors. Some testimonials may have been edited for clarity or length.
